Privacy & data at TinyRaster
TinyRaster is designed to be privacy-first: image processing runs in your browser, not on our servers, and we keep tracking to a minimum. To understand the project itself, you can also read the About TinyRaster page.
1. Image processing
TinyRaster’s core tools (converters, compressors and resizers) are designed to run 100% client-side. That means:
- Your images are processed directly in your browser.
- We do not upload your images to our servers for conversion.
- We do not store copies of your images.
The conversions use browser features such as HTML5 canvas and related APIs. When you close the tab, the browser releases the temporary data it used for your images.
This applies to all TinyRaster tools, including the main JPG ⇄ PNG converter, the JPG/PNG → WebP converter, the image compressor, the image resizer and the image to PDF converter.
2. Logs & technical data
Like most websites, TinyRaster may keep basic technical logs for security and operational purposes. These may include:
- IP address and browser user agent
- Visited URLs and timestamps
- Basic error information (for debugging)
This information is used to keep the service running, detect misuse and understand general traffic patterns. Logs are not linked to the images you process, because those images are not uploaded to our servers.
3. Cookies & analytics
TinyRaster aims to keep cookies and tracking to a minimum. In the future, lightweight analytics or advertising scripts may be added to support the project financially.
If and when this happens, the goal is to:
- Use privacy-friendly analytics where possible.
- Avoid storing more data than necessary.
- Provide clear information about what is being collected.
This page will be updated if significant changes are made, and major updates may also be mentioned on the About page or in future PRO documentation.
4. Third-party services
TinyRaster may rely on third-party hosting providers, CDNs or security services to keep the site fast and secure.
These providers may process IP addresses and basic connection details as part of delivering the website. They do not receive your image content for conversion, because image processing happens inside your browser.
5. Future PRO features & accounts
TinyRaster may offer a PRO plan or account-based features in the future. If that happens, additional data (such as an email address or billing information) may be required to provide the service.
Any such changes will be clearly documented here before they go live, and may also be explained on the About page together with an overview of new PRO features.

7. Changes to this page
This Privacy & Data page may be updated as TinyRaster evolves. If you keep using the site after changes are published, you agree to the updated terms.
If you want a quick reminder of how the tools work and why they are browser-based, the About page provides a high-level overview alongside links to the main tools.
